Wynwood hotel, may-october 2026

The exhibition Deep Water brings together works by artists from across Russia who took part in the Wynwood residency in March and April 2026. Encompassing painting, works on paper, and objects, the project explores a state of quiet accumulation, inner work, and anticipation of change.A hotel always carries a sense of transience: we step outside our usual lives and lose our habitual sharpness of focus. It is precisely within this state of blur that something important begins to emerge. We seem to dive into our own deep waters, beneath whose surface lie dreams, memories, hopes, and premonitions. The works convey a state of unforced attention, reflection, and awareness. This is expressed through images of water, natural forms, and geological memory, as well as through corporeality, the female gaze, domestic and emotional scenes, and sacred objects.Deep Water speaks of a moment in which strength is accumulated slowly and intensely. Beneath the calm surface, images, bodies, and signs of the times begin to gather. We gaze into the deep waters of the present—into our feelings, into images of nature, and into one another—and somehow, we understand it all.
