PORT ART FAIR
18-21 april 2024
The contemporary art fair at Sevkabel Port continues the venue’s commitment to promoting contemporary art and developing the city’s artistic landscape. Connecting art with its audience is one of Sevkabel Port’s core missions, and Port Art Fair seeks to deepen and expand this relationship.
Port Art Fair (PAF) Vol. 2 is the second edition of the contemporary art fair organised by the Sevkabel Port team. The fair aims to promote contemporary art and contribute to the development of the city’s artistic landscape. Connecting art with its audience is one of Sevkabel Port’s core missions, and Port Art Fair seeks to deepen and expand this relationship.
The fair is divided into three sections: Independent Artists, Galleries and Organisations, and Digital. The Independent Artists section brings together more than 50 artists, while Galleries and Organisations features 26 leading voices and trendsetters in their respective fields. We are also introducing the PAF Gallery, presenting our own selection of artists.
The experimental and open nature of the fair offers a broad perspective on the contemporary art scene while introducing audiences to new names.
This year’s central metaphor is a meadow, with its abundance and diversity of plants and flowers. The fair brings together key artistic directions and current tendencies: the development and reimagining of decorative and applied techniques, interdisciplinary experimentation, and the resurgence of expressive forms.
We also highlight the proliferation of new artist-led initiatives and galleries with widely differing identities and approaches. For the first time, the fair will feature stands by the timeless almanac SHILO, the Community of Contemporary Siberian Artists, MESS {XR Lab}, and Moroz.
Against all odds, the meadows will rise.
